Video Tutorials for Precise Piecing with Small Cuts of Fabric

Do you follow Lindsay @penandpaperpatterns, who designed this pattern, on Instagram? Last week, she posted a series of short, 15 second video tutorials on accurate piecing with small pieces. Run, don’t walk, over to listen to her tips! Lindsey is a careful and detail oriented pattern designer and quilter.  It can be found in her Instagram stories highlights, just go to her profile and click on the circle that says “Piecing 101.”

You can post pictures of your progress and finished blocks on Instagram [use the hashtags #fireflyquilt #fireflyquiltalong #patterndrop].

Don’t forget about the Paper Piecing Tips in the Pattern Drop Instagram Stories

The easiest way to make the antenna, at least for me, is to paper piece them! If you haven’t done a lot of paper piecing, I put together a *super* professional demonstration on my Instagram stories. If you go to the @patterndrop profile, click on the circle that says “Paper Piecing” for my permanent stories.

For more paper piecing tips and links to tutorials, see last week’s post.

Purchase Kits

If you haven’t purchased a kit yet and would like to, you can purchase quilt kits [slightly different fabric choices] from Sewtopia or Fabric Bubb!
