Have you met Eliane Bergmann, the talented woman behind Patchwork and Poodles?

Eliane designs and makes beautiful things, and I’m looking forward to sharing an interview with her later this month.

This is Eliane’s pattern, the Modern Crossing Quilt, and I just love it in all of the different variations! [If you look closely, you can see her beautiful hand quilting!]

The Modern Crossing Quilt Pattern is our March featured pattern, and available in the Pattern Drop shop.

The Modern Crossing Quilt Pattern has cutting directions for a 2 color quilt–both the black and white quilt at the start of this email and the floral and cream version are striking examples of this. I love that the floral becomes the “background” here!

There are also cutting directions for a three color quilt, as well as a more scrappy version, like the one above. Perfect for your favorite fat quarter bundle or stack of fabric that you just don’t want to break up.

There are instructions for a baby quilt (39” x 39”) as well as a throw quilt (72” x 72”).

Did you notice the binding? Isn’t that a fun way to finish off a quilt?? And I know you noticed the handquilting–all three of these beauties feature Eliane’s lovely hand quilting.

This photo of her dog Riley just makes me smile. And how great is that backing–such an unexpected pop of green!!!

That quilting, though! Isn’t it awesome?  Can’t wait to see what you make! Happy sewing, and you can find the pattern here: Modern Crossing Quilt Pattern.
