Spectrum Quilt by Fresh Lemons Quilts

 a shop-your-stash quilt along!

I hope you have been sewing along with us! And if not, these tips and tutorials will be available for you when you make your next quilt! Would love if you would pin this to Pinterest, so that others can benefit from Faith’s videos and quilting tips.

There are some awesome versions of the quilt popping up under the #patterndrop hashtag on Instagram and in the members Facebook group, so make sure to check them out [and add yours!]

Faith put together samples of six kinds of quilting that would look great on this quilt–she shows three of these in her video.

Pebble Quilting [pink]
Random Angled Lines [orange]
Matchstick Quilting + Matchstick Crosshatch [yellow]
Straight Lines [green]
Stipple/Meander [blue]
Organic Curved Lines [purple]

Faith went a step further and mocked up the Spectrum quilt with each of these quilting patterns.  She shares tips in the video for quilting, including taking breaks, adjusting your hands, and mixing it up!

Each of these quilting styles are things that with a little practice, a beginning and an expert quilter could use to quilt their own quilts. The Spectrum quilt isn’t a giant quilt, so it is a great one to practice on!

Happy sewing!
