This month’s quilt pattern is Moroccan Lanterns, by Lee Heinrich from Freshly Pieced.
Lee Heinrich is a graphic designer, quilter, tennis enthusiast, author, and fantastic friend. She has previously worked as a reporter, writer, editor, and graphic designer, and taught herself to sew around the time her oldest daughter was born. She writes and blogs at Freshly Pieced [you can find her on Instagram as @lee.a.heinrich], and has recently launched the must-have Perfect Half Square Triangles paper piecing templates! I have a set, and I love having so many size options.
This is a photo of Sugar Snow, designed by Lee for Vintage Quilt Revival and quilted by Krista Withers. Lee really excel’s at thinking through all aspects of the quilt-design, color, fabrics, quilting-and she is known for her alternate layouts. Make sure to click over to see some of the unique layouts for her quilts!

Lee’s original quilt, quilted by Stephanie Palmer from Late Night Quilter, is made with Alison Glass fabrics-isn’t that quilting awesome? I love that this quilt can be made in so many different fabric combinations-someone in the Annual Members Facebook Group mentioned that it would be a wonderful quilt to fussy cut fabrics for!
When you print out the coloring page and try different combinations, we would love to see pictures of your planning [coloring page and/or fabric selections]
